One of the great drinking attractions in Taiwan is - apart from its tea culture - the so-called Slurpee offered at 7/Eleven (not only in Taiwan, however). Although having been on for around 25 years, this type of drink comes in a new shape time and again. Presently it is promoted as SLURPuccino, thus alluding to the Italian cappucino:
As a customer, you just do DIY, i.e. you prepare your Slurpee yourself, which makes you feel even fonder of it: You can virtually see its sorbet-like character when it comes out of the vending machine. The sound it then makes, and which has given it its name, resembles exactly the sound it makes when you drink it... and you can't wait to start. You may also want to fill you mug as much as you can, making the best possible use of your skills for the best benefit you can get for your money. It is appetizing, isn't it?
While this description may sound like a PR text for this product, it actually is not. But drinking slurpee is simply fun. You may not like every flavour, you may have other preferences as far as drinks are concerned - but drinking this sorbet on a hot summer's day can hardly be topped: It cools you down very micely, and it simply tastes like more.
And there are two more advantages: Slurpee is not rich in calories, so it is like make for women. And it comes in a mug which is manufactured of corn and, thus, environmental-friendly. What more can we want?!
So why shouldn't we slurpee next time?
